► Founder: The company, finSage Inc., was founded by Ray Sant. Ray has a PhD in finance and is also a CFA charterholder. He also has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering as well as an MBA in finance and marketing. Ray has over 25 years' experience in finance including CFA education, investment banking, consulting, research and university teaching at MBA and undergraduate levels. He has taught at several universities in the US, and was a tenured professor in Minnesota before founding the company. Until recently he was associated with a leading provider of CFA review products and seminars as a senior vice-president. He has conducted many CFA review seminars for blue chip names in the investment banking industry in New York. In the past Ray has also worked for Ernst & Young, LLP as a valuation expert and handled domestic and international transactions running into billions of dollars. His consulting clients included: major oil companies, oil service companies, publishing, high-technology computer and internet based companies, staffing, utility, chemical, manufacturing, distribution and retail companies. He has also consulted for asset-backed securitizations. ► Certifications: In addition to the above degrees and CFA charter, Ray has also passed the following certification exams: Certified Financial Planner (CFP - Board of Standards, Colorado, USA) Certified Management Accountant (CMA - Institute of Management Accountants, USA) Certified in Financial Management (CFM - Insitute of Management Accountants, USA) Certified Cash Manager (CCM - Association for Finance Professionals, USA) ► Strengths: Ray understands what it takes to study, prepare and successfully move from one level to the next when it comes to the CFA charter. His face-to-face contact with CFA candidates in live seminars over the past several years has made him acutely aware of the difficulties and challenges faced by candidates studying for the CFA exam. Based on his wide ranging CFA educational and financial consulting experience, Ray brings a unique perspective to the CFA review industry to help candidates succeed in attaining their charter in as little time as possible.
